Lotti has a warm and modern interior: wooden tables, soft lighting, and a welcoming vibe that feels both stylish and comfortable. The space is often buzzing but never overwhelming, making it easy to enjoy a long meal with friends or a quiet coffee break. It is on the louder side, but personally, I really enjoy when it is lively on the night out. I also have to say that we had a lovely waiter, he was always smiling and attentive.
What did we pick from the menu?
As Lotti recommends in the menu, you should order around 3 dishes per person for normal hunger. These 6 dishes that we ordered were just ideal for us, we felt really full (no space for dessert!) but it was not overwhelming.
Roasted marrow bone
with bread and Maldon Sea Salt Flakes (15 CHF)
I can never say no to marrow bone! This was the absolute highlight of the menu for me and a perfect appetizer. It was more on a fattier side, but splitting it with 2 people was ideal and the combination with sea salt made it really exquisite.
Salad with mustard seed
vinaigrette and rapeseed (11 CHF)
This was a perfect choice for us that accompanied us throughout the whole meal. The salad mate it easier to digest all the foods, and it was perfect to combine with the marrowbone and the steak later. The flavours were simple, but very effective.
Swiss Beef Croquetas with Lotti-BBQ Tomato Dip (12 CHF)
Okay, yum! The croquettes were filled with juicy meat and very tasty - soft inside and crunchy on the outside.
Beef rib eye steak 300g (38 CHF)
The steak was served after we ate the initial dishes, which was perfect for a main dish. We asked for medium rare - and it was really delicious. For me personally, I enjoyed other dishes we ordered a bit more - since they were more interesting with flavours. But on the other hand, this was my partner’s favourite! Again, perfect to share.
Risotto Cacio e Pepe with marinated zucchini and pickled egg yolk (18 CHF)
You got me - cacio e pepe is my weakness flavour. The risotto was tasty, and the zucchini on top very refreshing. Love it!
Breaded organic egg with young peas and pea cream (17 CHF)
If you’re a fan of peas, this will be the highlight of your evening! Personally, I love the taste of young peas - and everything in this dish was so peaslicious! I could even imagine eating just the pea cream honestly.
And here you can see us happy and planning how we will return back with our parents! It was definitely a nice evening, and the red wine was a perfect combination to make the most out of the meals.
Would I recommend Restaurant Lotti? Absolutely! It’s so cozy and the meals were very interesting and tasty, yet with simple flavours. As a photographer, people always ask me for recommendations after the photoshoot - so I am truly happy that I found something so central. And even better, it was a recommendation from a local! Yay!
