When I first heard about Rosário’s plan to organize a surprise proposal for her partner, I instantly knew that this will be super emotional and personal. Rosário chose a place that meant something unique, a hidden gem that holds a special place in the heart.

Planning a surprise proposal in Switzerland requires careful preparation to make the moment unforgettable. From choosing the perfect location to arranging decorations and timing, every detail matters. Having everything ready in advance really makes the day easier. In this case, Rosário chose to pick and bring the desired decorations herself and I helped with arranging and carrying everything to the desired spot. Thoughtful planning not only ensures the proposal looks beautiful, but also lets you truly live in the moment and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime memory together.

We chose to take advantage of the golden hour, and set up everything just few hours before the sun sets. Locations like this allow for a beautiful private moment, that can be later shared and celebrated just with the newly engaged couple: after the photographs are done, it is easy to stay there and just cherish the moment. Rosário prepared a thoughtful game with riddles, which should lead the future fianceé to the location of the proposal.

The time we spent waiting for her to arrive was something incredible, as you can witness the love for someone in the air. And then, it happened: we could see her arriving from the distance, already having an idea what’s about to happen. The first embrace, the first hug.
